flappy curtains

I've tried lots of ways to stop the bottom of my curtains flapping about - the age old problem of sunlight streaming under in the morning or turning over in the night at the risk of exposing your bum up the window...well today I found these in hobbycraft

I used to have velcro to hold the curtains down but it made the carpet trim pulled and fluffy.
they're really easy to use and come with the little tool required. I think it looks really neat & gives a professional finish.






They're not cheap at £7.50 for 10 but I think they're worth it

I'll bear that in mind if I need any more, I knew hobbycraft would be expensive

I used net curtain elastic with eyelets screwed in each end, stretched slightly taught and self tapped into bodywork just below the windows but a couple of inches above the lower edge of the curtains. Holds the entire length of the curtain tight against the body below the window. Simple and quick for the sides and rear but not sure if it's effective beyond the B pillar. we have string which the bottom of the curtains sit behind, seems to work.

Got rid of the curtains for the main reason that no ammount of effort will stop sunlight coming in and waking you too early
use thermomats now more effort to put them up but lie-ins are priceless

Blackout lining

Mine have thermal blackout lining. Had them made by suzi's curtains. No sunlight gets through those.

I have curtains for privacy rather than to keep the light out.

I was thinking of doing this, have you sewn them into the curtains?

I'm going to use magnets in mine too, they are in the bottom seam.
