Am I correct that the buzzer not only sounds when the oil pressure is low but also when the coolant level is low?

Nope - the light on the coolant temperature gauge will flash if the coolant level is low (or if the coolant temp is very hot)

Just realised that I didn't post an update. Doug in Angmering fixed it. All it was was cruddy contacts and circuit board. Has gone like a dream ever since (fingers crossed and all good luck charms touched!!! ).
