Feed for spotlight relay
Should of included this on my last post but where is the best place on the T25 to take the main feed for the spotlight relay?(preferably on the front) dont want to go burning my wiring out.
Carlsberg dont do campers.......... but if they did they'd build the T25

Why not take a nice thick new one from you battery , take it under the van and into the cab under the drivers seat, get a fuse box from maplins or i think si baxter was doing them , that would leave you with a few spare fuse and a safe place to take the power from.

Kev, Bendyknees isn't talking about 'a spotlight', he's talking about a pair of Cibie Super Oscars spot or driving lamps. These will be drawing more power than main beam headlamps!

If you read his previous post you will get the full picture. If these lamps are to supplement main beam ie: face straight forward parallel to the ground, then they must be wired to switch off when the headlamps are dipped. If these auxiliary lamps are not going to be wired through the ignition I foresee a flat battery in less time than it takes to put up an awning or at least a low residual charge.

Thanx onion. Thats what i thought i was gonna have to do
i have to go and buy shares in a wire company now i suppose. The super oscars are running 130w halogen bulbs so where ever i route it im gonna have to use some serious cable, just didnt want to use about 25ft of it thats all
and i couldnt really be bothered with crawling about underneath as well.

argh you see they didnt remember yours is a diesel donkey did they! hahaha:lol
you can take the supply feed from the back of the fuse box, you are NOT talking big loads with little 130w halogens, just make sure that you give the lights them selfs goodly sized earths and that the fuse you fit for their feed is close to the supply pick up, and that the signal wire you use for the relay is switched, so they dont have to come on every time you go to main beam*
*Required for all retro fitted lamps for MOT if you are using bulbs rated more than the orginal vehicles main beam bulb size. Also because , as you know, 130w is for off raod use only in the UK so you wont be using them on road will you?;)
