Sound system query

Post by Reimotim »

Ok so if I have speakers that state the minimum rms is 60 watts, but my head unit maximum rms is 45watts then is there an issue?
I have everything connected and there is adequate sound coming from the speakers, so is my set up ok or do I need to add an amp to drive these speakers?

Did half a physics A level before dropping out due to the electronics! Not my steong point, advice gratefully received!

Cheers
Tim

It will be absolutely fine. (source = 30 years of being an electronics engineer, mostly audio gear).
