So bit of a random question guys!
I'm hoping to use a small projector in my camper, ever since sitting in one that had one installed I've wanted to do it.
So my question is has anyone done this and do you have any idea how fast a power inverter such as this shown below will flatten my second 74 ah battery?

I appreciate it's a completely odd question but thought I'd see if you guys have ever done anything similar.
You can get pocket projectors with batteries. But they don't last that long, so ideally I'm looking at a small plug in one but we don't normally get electric hook up so wondering if it will just flatten the battery in an hour or something if I use a power inverter?
Thanks everyone.

Re: Projectors and power inverters
What is the current draw of the projector?
300 watts divided by 12 volts is 25 amps, after 1 hour at max. power the inverter would use 25 amps of the battery capacity in theory.

Re: Projectors and power inverters
Well I found one that uses 435watts so obviously need an even bigger inverter for that, so sounds like it won't have enough power then?
Does 74 amp hours mean you could use 1amo an hour for 74 hours or 74 amps in an hour I assume?
Yeah I've seen usb powered ones, unfortunately my laptops battery isn't good and I was planning to use an sd card or ipad

I use one of these - runs of batteries / standard plug socket.

Yes in theory but it doesn't work like that in practice. You shouldn't run batteries down too far, it shortens their life.

Re: Projectors and power inverters
Your 74 amp hour battery only has 37 amp hours of usable power. If you drained that battery below half of its charge it would kill it and it may never recover. You would need more battery capacity to operate that projector for longer than an hour or so.
Love the projector idea though. My crowd brings one when we go camping, we fire up the Turkey fryer and cook all kinds of food and then enjoy a movie.
In this picture the projector and laptop were plugged into shore power and not my Westy.
