Finally got round to changing the leaky fuel pump and all the fuel lines.

When I took the pump off I found that it had an input bigger than the output. Whoever put it on decided that a proper reducer wasn't necessary so cut a short bit of wide hose and stuffed the fuel hose into it and clamped it with a jubilee clip!

All sorted now but that had disaster written all over it...Image

That would work if there were a piece of supporting tube inside the smaller piece for the hose clamp to put pressure against, it was an idea that wasn't thought through very well. Good job you found it!

I'll post a photo of the end of the fuel hose tomorrow. I'm surprised anything got through it!

Glad I changed all the hoses, some of them were originals and perished inside.
