Idle and vaccuum

Post by ermie571 »

Hi all,

is there a relationshio between the van holding an idle and vaccuum?

2.1 on LPG will sit at idle for a while....then it will gradually fall. Initially, it will recover, then fall, then recover then fall...the recovery seems to be a little less than before...until the revs drop to stall. It always restarts.

Now...I have always captured this with bvery slight pressure on the accelerator...this seems to work fine........

The last couple of days its been a bit better?? warmer?? who knows, then today it starts again...only mild. This sets me thinking....so...what would gradually die off....vaccuum me thinks. So I pumps the brake pedal as that works on vaccuum. Revs pick up. ???? wait. revs start to fall. depress brake. Revs return!!

So - have a got a vaccuuum leak somewhere?? maybe one of the hoses not working properly??

Any ideas??
