I want to install a hardwired light in the roof of my Westy poptop. I have been thinking along the lines of this

I just wanted to know if anyone has a better idea?

Westy poptop light
Those or the osram copilots (VW had these installed in Westy hitops) are good. Although I'm increasing inclined to go down dimmable LEDs run around the edges. Will watch with interest.

I've been thinking about this. I don't think i'd fit that light. The dimmable led strip feels like a better idea.
One idea i've been thinking of is to have a strip of led's just behind the latch for the poptop, quite easy to access from under the front headlining and should give a nice throw of light against the poptop canvas

Re: Westy poptop light
I've got both - dimmable warm white led strip all around roof, plus osram map light over bed.
use both for different reasons - leds when wanting full coverage for hunting down that last clean sock in a bottom of a cupboard or bag, and osram when wanting pooled light for reading.

Any chance of a pic when you have a mo. Oh, and route of wiring
