bench seat query

Post by what2do »

Hi there, can anyone tell me what is required to fit a bench seat into a van that doesn't have a bulkhead please?

It maybe that I decide to buy a full/partial bulkhead at some point but for now I need a 3rd seat, hence the question.

Thanks.
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

You need a bar across the van to support the seat back.

Mount the extra seatbelt (using the existing passenger and drivers belt mounting points)

Thanks very much for your pics, is that bar made to fit or taken from another van? Cheers.

Mine was a Devon Conversions 12 seat minibus (in its previous life as a school minibus) so it has always had the bar and double seat.

Ta very much, it may be that I have to fabricate a couple of brackets and bar if that's the case. Cheers.
