Post by carly2708 »

Emergency !!!! I think I have a possible alternator problem on my 1984 1900 petrol t25 . It just cut out today at a roundabout and refused to start the battery sounded completely flat . This has happened before a few weeks back but it started again after a few attempts . This time it didn't . I have checked the battery connections and they are solid . We r going away on Friday and so far no one in newquay that i have spoken is able to look at it till next week aargh !! Can anyone help or recommend anybody please :-)) xxx

Have you checked the voltage at the battery to see if it is actually dead ? Either a cheap volt meter or try your lights with main and horn at same time . That should at least tell you if you have little volty things running around inside the battery. Daz

Hello, just had a chat with a mate in Hayle who uses Hayle mot guildford rd Hayle 01736754738. They're used to older vehicles-theyve got an old mg.
Mention checking the wires I told you that corroded on my van.

I was just going to recommend Nigel. He really knows his stuff. I've known him for a long time and seen him do some excellent work.
