you could try here http://www.thinkauto.com/ or try your local scrappy but if you go second hand make sure you give it a good flush through

All 2.1' s had an oil cooler fitted as standard I thought!!!
Gous between the oil filter and case and is cooled via the water system...
unless yours was a 1.9 before!!!

it has an oil cooler of sorts as described, but things can always be slighty improved, so thought a proper oil cooling system(c/w thermostat) might help the engine last longer as has just been rebuilt by Laurie Pettit

The normal one is as much an oil temperature stabilser as anything esle, warms it up quicker and keeps it slightly cooler when hot.

Not a bad idea, I would have thought, and adds a bit to overall oil capacity

if it doesn't do any harm, like overcool the oil, hence the thermostat is de rigeur.

I can't think of anyone but lots used on TD diesels in germany I think, and complete kits can be got from Mr. Bernd Jaeger and others. Some cheap kits from the US too.

If you like to push the thing along a bit then think it's always a good idea, otherwise probably not necessary. Lot of pipework if cooler is up front!

An oil temp gauge might in fact, be the first move. Are you running synth?

Hi Harryman
running semi synth
like going to France in the summer and seems to be getting hotter down there, plus been stuck in a couple of trafic jams outside Paris and Bordeux and it can get realy hot, so possibly a bit of future planning
interesting point is where to put the rad as dont fancy running pipes all the way to the front, any ideas, small fan etc

Behind near side tail light, fan blowing down out of hole cut in compartment floor? As per TD intercoolers?
