Edging trim for cupboards question

Hi folks,

Tidying up the home brew interior of on of our vans. The "furniture" is made of what I call "chipboard". Much of it has no trim edging.

I note that our member "BaaaadSlider " is selling some "T trim" but from a quick bit of research it is obvious the you need to use a proper tool (router ?) to create the slot for it to fit into and I ain't going to be able to do that.

Bearing in mind I have no woodworking tools to speak of and very little skill with woodwork, plus the furniture is assembled and I don't want to go taking it to bits (other than taking the doors off !) what is the best way to fix some edging strip to it ?

You could try using some iron on edging strip available from B&Q, usually available in a small range of colours, mainly wood effect but sometimes white. Other edge bandings are available from the Internet and could be glued with evostik contact adhesive. If you want real wood strips to glue into place, pm me as I can cut some to your exact requirements from a suitable wood. This could be posted in a tube with ease.

Flippin heck, I never thought of real wood strips

That will be so much easier You can buy various types of "section" in long lengths from B&Q can't you and I have some glue called "Fast Grab" that is the most amazing wood glue I have ever come across, which will stick it on fine. I was going to paint the entire furniture withh Ronseal "Melamine paint" in grey anyhow

So glad I asked or I would have been faffing around with iron on / stick on plastic edging that I was sure would be a faff and not stick onto the edge of chipboard well anyway !
