Instrument pod options for 1989 LHD Caravelle Syncro 2.1

Post by Tufty_B »

In the process of replacing the fan motor I've discovered (amongst other things) that a previous owner must have dropped the instrument pod because it has a hole in the rear corner taped over, a poorly araldited fixing and a crack on the clear face over the speedo.
I'm in process of repairing this, but ideally I'd like to replace it. Do I have the option of fitting a different pod because I have a speedo and clock setup and a speedo/tacho version would be nice?
If changing the type is difficult are specific pods difficult to obtain?
There is the number 1000 on the speedo.

you can keep your speedo swap it out on a new pod

tacho pods go for between 150-200 £ for a good one - remember yours could still be worth up to £100 in bits!

minus the syncro specific speedo the rest is a straight swap as long as you buy a petrol tacho unit
