AGG Vagcom connector OBD 1? Nov 95 loom

Post by Cyrus »

Im still cutting away at my loom for an agg gti conversion.
I would like to keep the vagcom connector but I cant seem to find it.
I can't see the OBD 2 connector could I have an earlier one OBD1 ? Possibly, if so what do they look like?
the loom is out of a Nov 95 car.
cheers

Mine is from a 97 Passat and is OBD (I) but it has an OBDII connector fitted, I don't know if this was standard on the Passat or if the bloke who converted mine fitted one for me.

Not much help for you I know but a bit more info.

Do you know what colour wires go to yours? Looking at Gary's wiring diagrams there should be a grey/white from imoboiliser to vagcom but I can only follow it to one place. Hmmm

Off the top of my head no, I know that there are only three or at a maximum four and they line up with Gary's bible.

Grey/white goes to immobiliser box from ecu then OBD port comes off of the Immo box.

You're only looking for the one wire.

Gimme five and will find a good link for ya :ok

Haha cheers bro.

Unfortunately I have the ability to remember relatively useless (in the scheme of life) things, or at least where I read it  :ok

Cheers Elvis,
do you know what other wires and the pin out of the obd2 connector?
I don't seem to have on maybe I have an early type so if I can rewire to an obd2 connector then all's good.
haven't had time to properly look at the link above as im at work.
cheers

Off the top of my head I can't remember BUT it is very easy and obvious.

I *think* it is as simple as earth/wire from Immo box (see above link)/ 12v , can't remember if its constant live or ignition though. Will try and have a look and post a pic or link for when you get home :ok

That's a constant live feed, Elvis, to go with the grey immobiliser/ECU connection and the earth.
