Hi all,
Recently my van has made a loud pop when I turn off the ignition - I've not noticed it when its running. ( Is this a backfire? )
Its only happened recently , I've had the fuel tank out to replace the missing balance pipe and rubber grommets. So I expect its probably something to do with the fuel. No obvious holes in the exhaust.
Weird thing is - I've not heard it whilst driving or idling. I've got an electric fuel pump that has been working fine if that could be part of the issue.
The loud pop doesn't really bother me - just wondered if its an indicator of something more serious that I should investigate?

Carb might need a clean... if you've disturbed the old tank
not forgetting the filter in the carb
mixture check. (%CO)
check the brake servo hose is not leaking.
