Eber B1l manual on pdf found, anyway to upload to Wiki?

Post by pouch »

Hi Guys,

I have just aquired a B1l eberspacher and am about to fit it.

Qu 1 Leisure battery
I've checked the Wiki for Leisure battery suitable for behind the passenger seat and it states that the box is 190mm high, mine has only 180mm of height and I cannot find a deep cycle battery that small?

Qu 2 Location for Eberspacher
Does anyone have a picture of an Eber fitted at the front and plumbed into the Aircooled air system, does not look to be much room to sort that out. Any suggestions? (again no info in Wiki)

So do I keep serching for a battery, or do I re-locate the battery and eberpacher to another location in the van without the height issue? Maybe behind the driving seat and direct the eber air the wrong way from the back un and onto the front window??

Really not sure which way to go.
Found a great (heavy) 90ah leisure battery new for £39.95

Thanks

Hi mate. I had a similar question about the leisure battery a few weeks ago. Try this Wiki link, it has a list of batterys that'll fit.
https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Ca ... s_that_fit

As for the Eberspacher, I have a B2L fitted to my Aircooled Westy Joker. It sits under the van below the rear seat, between the fuel tank and the rear suspension, and it's ducted to blow the air out of the bottom of the rear seat/rock n roll bed. It's not conected to the VW heating system at all, it's just a seperate night heater. Or day heater if it's really cold I suppose. Have you tried a Google search for your heater? I did one for mine, and I managed to find someone who had a manual I could download, with all the wiring diagrams in it. For free :D
If its because your normal heater isn't working too good and you want some heat in the van, then see the posts about heating problems with Aircooled vans, especially this one here-http://archive.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=12669. :D
Ps-my Eberspacher doesn't work-no fuel pump, and my heater is also a bit rubbish too. I do have a wooly hat though..........

I'll host it if you want to email it to me - I'll PM you my email address.

Then someone can do a link to it on the Wiki - or I might see if I can do it meself!
