my knob wont come off

Post by tee3peeo »

Does anyone know how to pull this pudding off - the bright orange one with alarm on it. - I need to remove the dashboard and I can't get past this - tried gently twisting, pulling levering - no luck. Before I try serious leverage it would be good to know how it's meant to be removed.

all comments much appreciated - tee3peeo

I don't recognise the style, but there might be a little grub screw holding it in or it might unscrew... or you could try undoing the nut behind it until its loose, then you might be able to see better.

thanks for reply Walrus,
it's a multifunction switch. Up for lights, down for siren and pull out for both. Because it's got a pull function it won't simply pull off - I'll have a look for a grub screw later,

many thanks
