Hi,
We are in need of a new gear linkage pin. The universal joint has snapped, and to replace it we are going to need to drill/ saw through the current pin as it is fused to the selector shaft (also being replaced). We've looked everywhere for the part we need (OEM 251-711-291), but it is out of stock/ on back order/ unavailable everywhere. Anyone know of an alternative we can use to do the same job?
Thanks,

give me a bell or drop me an email during the day I probably have all that you need in stock but will have to look through some boxes of bits once I know exactly what you need

Re: Gear Linkage Pin - alternative needed
Just in case anyone else finds this looking for the same help I was...
I contacted VW about getting a hold of this part, but they said absolutely no where is making them anymore. I ended up using an M8 (if memory serves) bolt with a locking / nylon threaded nut which did the trick!
VW did provide me with a list of the biggest sellers of T25 parts, which has come in handy. I can't dig it out now, by it your interested then let me know.
