Nice to read some of the threads that have developed over the year!
Well after selling the Syncro to fund a T5 to try and get down to 2 family cars the T5 is now up for sale http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200983670216? ... 1555.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I didn't end up leaving my day to job to go solo, in fact my day job got interesting, so the T5 ended up becoming my wife's full time drive. Her parking set up at work changed from open air to multi storey which meant she needed a little run around (or keeping it to the paint shop!) She now has a Golf, I have a Passat, and face having no van in our lives
Can't imagine it will be for long though.... 
So if anyone knows of someone who wants a T5 Day/weekender then feel free to pass me on!
Have fun playing in the mud/snow over the next few months. We've just come over Exmoor which is starting to get a bit wet and wild. Think I will miss not having a 4x4 this year.
