Oil Strainer?

Post by mrbodly »

Hi All

I'm going to change the oil and filter on my 2L Aircooled. Is it worth replacing the oil strainer?
I can't find much info on it. Does it sit in the bottom of the sump?

This is the GSF LINK:

Cheers

Should be done every now and again. It sits like you say in the bottom of the sump behind a round metal plate. Whatever you do, do not over-tighten when replacing. The results are catastrophic trust me.

Doesn't need replacing just removing and cleaning at every other oil change.
