2.1 mv syncro into 2.1dj how much work

Hi i have a 2.1 dj engine that runs but is very smokey still in the bus. i have just bought a 2.1 mv engine but it has no ecu air flow meter etc. al so no loom. is it possible to run it on a dj loom? ecu air flow meter etc. or could i run on a carb? thanks in advance

Thanks for that just got the engine today and dont want it lying around like he rest of my projects lol. will have a go at fitting it next week thanks.

You will need your DJ dizzy swapping over. The MV is ecu controlled ignition timing so dizzy won't work with DJ ecu. And don't forget your vac pipe from throttle body to dizzy vac can. MV port on tb will probably be blanked off. If MV comes complete with exhaust, you will have a spare lambda probe, use this to upgrade your LPG to closed loop. You do have LPG, don't you?

Thanks for that info. Still not had time to fit it yet . As for the Lpg it's not on this one yet but if I keep it I will be coming up to have it done when sorted. I have bought a tristar 2.1 that needs gassing. Has part system on it will have to pop up and have a chat about getting it sorted Andrew.

Holy thread resurrection! Did you ever get the MV fitted? Did you go dj setup or carb? Did you get LPG'd?
