Morning,
I have just finished my install of a Webasto Airtop 2000, bought from Oldie But Goodie but have a question regarding the positioning of the timer.
Where have other Westfalia owners or any other conversion placed theirs?
I am assuming most people put theirs under the R n R bed? Have thought about the side of the long cupboard but unsure how to get the wires in. Lots of drilling maybe. I want to get it right first time as i do not wish to change my mind after cutting out the hole
Thanks
Steve L

Thanks Lloydy,
I have actually tried to see if it will go in the ashtray hole but could not see a way of accessing behind the panel for the wiring.
Don't really want to resort to drilling a big hole in it!
Thanks Trucker,
That is the most sensible place and the easiest to cut a hole. Is it too near the unit (my webasto is under the R and R bed and my hot air outlet is coming out of the hole where the rear heater used to be)....?

He has got a combitimer which needs a rectangular hole and is larger:

ooh that's posh! Only one hole to cut as well
The side panel is a bit of a faff to get out on a westie but logical, if you put it on the r&r bed kick panel it would be under the bed when it's down, it'd be easier to get to either on the side panel or wardrobe when you're in bed.
How lucky am I ??
I agree Trucker, if the bed is down you will have to hang upside down to access the timer. Wardrobe it is!
Working this weekend so will have to wait till i can get time.
