just go into your local car spares or halfords and give them your registration ,they can tell what battery you need.

Halfrauds HB065 is what they will tell you ....

A 065 , 075 or 085 code battery will fit correctly in the seat box

Try the alpha batteries website for a good price.Don't go buying from the likes of halfords.http://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/catalo ... ult/?q=085" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Type 2 bolt through terminals? like on FORDS? don't think that's right!

The fact is...a lot of types will fit but just be careful of the overall height as VW battery boxes aren't very deep so you really need low profile sizes i.e. 175mm tall and not 190mm

Their low height leisure battery for the T25 looks a good price too:

Euro Car Parts are currently doing discounted batteries as well.

Interesting that you should say that - I have a 4 poster for the starter - two conical terminals as normal and two semi-conical with flats on! Very handy to have the extra terminals in dual configuration.

After having had starting problems even with a new starter with a succession of Halfords Batteries I mentioned it at my local garage . There's your problem they said and so I bought a battery at Europarts. Cheaper than Halfords and end of low cranking speed problems. Would never buy a Halfords Battery again.
