On the above setup should there be a very thin shim/washer between the bolts and the flywheel itself. I am asking as I have omitted to put this back on when reassembling and now having checked various manuals can only see this part on the original AAZ setup when it was in the Golf (different flywheel/clutch).
Do I need to take off and reassemble with this part or will it be ok as it is, if I need to redo should I use another set of new bolts?
Knowledge and thoughts appreciated, would like to get it all back together today
Cheers.. Phil

Re: AAZ with JX flywheel and clutch, washer/shim?
It's not needed...it's purpose is unknown but its only seen on the back to front clutch setup as fitted to front drive cars with the 02K type boxes and a proper flywheel won't need it...

Thanks, saved me time and/or stress that it was wrong without it.
Not put box back in yet as busy completing other jobs and fixing some of the bodges done by whoever put the original 1.6jr diesel engine in (was a petrol van in some distant past)
