Reproduction Fuel Pump - 2lt cu engine
Had fuel pump problems/petrol in oil, Bought a new pump from JK which I was told replaces NLA original pump. Fitted this pump with 2 paper gaskets and original insulation block (good condition). Running problems straight away - checked there was fuel in tank - renewed inline filter. Did test drive - engine died 5 times in 6 miles - tried again next day same prob. Checked all over - did start after a time but would not run long enough to get off my drive. Tried again - took pipe off tank - fuel came out - took pipe off R/H carb - turned engine over - no fuel came out of pipe Took pump off to check and found the body casting was cracked and pushed out behind the operating lever which must have bottomed out and caused the pump body to crack. Have any other 2lt cu owners used these repro pumps and have had any problems ? Fitted original pump and test drive with a friend - runs OK - 15 - 20 miles - will have to check now if any petrol in oil and will phone JK to return pump and hope replacement pump from them works better ? NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.

There are so many threads about Just Krappers parts that I am surprised anyone dare say that they bought something from them on here!

What is the part number of the pump? I didn't think that JK (or anyone) still did a mechanical fuel pump for a CU engine? If it's this one:-
JK Part Number: J10391 OEM Part Number: 025-127-025/A
It says it for a CT engine not a CU.

Hopefully he bought J20006 for the CU engine.
I've fitted a couple not had any problems with them, the first was from Heritage but the same pump.
Like any pump they have to be tightend each bolt a bit at a time to pull them down square or the casting can crack.

Yes the pump from JK is J2006 for CU engine. The part of the body that has cracked and been pushed out is behind the operating lever which the pushrod contacts, not at the flange to engine. Yes I did tighten each bolt a bit at a time. Thanks for replies.
