Meyle shockers

Post by audi0704 »

Hi has anybody tried and got an opinion good or otherwise on Meyle front shock absorbers currently sold by B & B Components and supposedly made in Germany, i'm sure I read an article on here regarding the German connection and possibly the quality of Meyle products.
Any advice appreciated before I spend some more hard earned.
Cheers bob

Don't know much of them but imho you won't go far wrong with some b4 bilsteins.

Thanks Jason and Martin thought they looked too good to be true at that price, think bilsteins from brickwerks will be the answer.

Sachs might be another 'cheaper' option....not quite as good as Bilteins but aceptable.

I think Meyle just buy parts on the open market from wherevers cheapest and put them in boxes saying 'Mayle Germany' on them to fool the consumer. I've had very few Meyle bits, most have failed within a year. Avoid anything from them with rubber in is all I can say..

Thanks Andy I think the general opinion is to avoid Meyle and stick with either Sachs or Bilstein depending on how much our lass spends in Spain next week.Cheers to all for the advice given.Bob
