When i am traveling along my spedo works fine but if it starts raining and i put my wipers on the spedo needle starts jumping up and down,ie if i am doing 50 and put the wipers on the spedo needle will be jumping between 40mph and 70mph opprox. If anyone could shed a bit of light on this and how to fix it that would be great as it is really annoying.

Clean up / re-make connections at a-pillar earth crown, including crown itself. If that doesn't fix it, it could be in the supply side. Ignition switch?

the speedo is cable driven sounds like the cable has either been zip ties to the wiper arm or its rubbing against it !
