coil ?

Post by jeffdub »

hello all, not a question asking for help more of a query ! I relaced my coil today with a new one from brickwerks, when I took my old one off it had no pin where the ht lead fits, my question is should it have had one ( I think yes ) and if so how did it manage to run properly without one ?
thanks jeff

Some coils & dizzie caps have a central pin where the leads plug in, some don't. Up to 1984 don't have the pin, after 1984 does.
2ltr Aircooled CU with twin Solex's & originally a 009 dizzie, but now back to standard.
