I spent many hours scratching my head trying to find this air leak, the seal cost around 4 quid from Brickwerks and could save you many hours of searching like me! Hope this helps

2.1 DJ Air leak- solved!
Just a bit of advice for anyone who may have an air leak on their DJ. My van was very under powered, popping in air inlet hose and felt like vanagon syndrome. I renewed the vacuum hoses on the dizzy, no joy, I then renewed the gasket seal that fits between the air throttle housing and the chamber. Bingo! jobs a good un! somebody in the past had slid the seal onto the chamber before sliding on the throttle housing-WRONG, fit the seal first inside the throttle housing then slide the housing onto the chamber.
