a common newbie question..

Post by Asw »

Hi, we have just, in a moment of weakness, bought a slightly battered T25. The body needs some minor welding, a bit of rust treatment and a re-spray.. So the most common question, and the most unanswerable.. we live in East Yorkshire, can anyone point us to a good body shop?
Ultimately, are we not all air cooled?

If it only needs "a bit of welding", "some rust treatment" and a respray I wouldn't say that was a moment of weakness I would say that's a good buy

I bought one of those.
It was described as £4500, rust free.
Well,I suppose the rust might have been free, but there wasnt much metal for my £4500.
Enjoy !

No idea on bodyshops in Yorkshire, sorry.
Dont get disheartened if you take it to a "non T25 friendly" bodyshop, most of those dont want to know because they make more money from car park dents in Ford Fiestas, so they may well tell you its a rust bucket and not worth the effort.
Happened to me.
