I need one
I want to controll a pump using an ajustable voltage...like a dimmer switch

would a dimmer switch work with dc :idea

up to 6 amps

Dont think so kev as they alter frequency not voltage. You would need some sort of adjustable resistor with DC. Sure some one will correct me though :D
