southwest mechanics
I moved to Looe Cornwall about 18 months ago and I have strugged to find a mechanic with good t25 knowledge/experience. Does anybody know of any good mechanics in my area, I know I am not going to find one on my doorstep so I accept I may have to travel. My local garage had a vague idea that there was someone in Par near a market. Any help would be gladly received.

Re: southwest mechanics
I use Quayside Autos for my mechanicals in Plymouth. They know their VW espeially Aircooled and I find them much more more reasonable than other garages who try to charge me silly prices. For example last garage I went to with slight oil leak said hmm pushrods probably valves neeed replacing talking bout 500. Quayside looked at it one set of push rods, new points, oil change and filter and various other bits an bobs £194 shes sailing up hills now and no oil leak.
They do do bodywork and resprays too but Im too tight to do that.

Hi mate - sure you have found someone by now but Nigel Allen near Newquay airport is excellent and often has spares etc
