Buzzer and warning light around French roundabouts?

As the title suggests, I'm getting both light and buzzer come on but only whilst going around French roundabouts or sharp left bends at a moderate speed. If I go really slow I don't get anything. As soon as I straighten up it stops.
It's all rather worrying as I'm in the south of France at the moment and there are lots of roundabouts
The van is a 1.9 AAZ Syncro and has recently had a service with oil change (didn't question that they may have put unsuitable oil in).
Any advice would be great.

check levels and top up pronto. sounds like the slosh in the sump maybe uncovering the pickup pipe.

Obvious question is...does it have oil in? If yes maybe wiring is shorting out? Oil pressure check will set your mind at ease.

How much oil is showing on the dipstick? If you've driven 800 miles to get where you're on holiday, you've probably used a bit of oil. Presuming, of course, that the oil change that you were charged for included filling it back up to the correct level.

Check the oil when cold and check the wiring isn't shorting out against something metallic. The 'going round a roundabout' part would imply it's a movement that sets it off.

Yes. Oil seems to be show as full so it's a bit of a mystery. Electrical maybe?

Sorry I can't help on a diesel engine as I know nothing about them but could it possibly be an oil pick-up issue ?

Thanks for the offer. The problem went away (or changed at least) when I adjusted the oil cap. The buzzer only really came on when I was going down hill and breaking.
I've since realised that the wrong oil filter has been fitted . I'll change that first and let you know if it solves the issue. Is it expecting too much for a so called vintage specialist garage to fit the correct parts or am I being being naive?

Does the AAZ have the tray/gasket in the sump the same as the 1Y? If so is it fitted to yours? If not it may be the source of the problem. I know that the 1.6 doesn't have one but several people have said that their 1.9 has a pressure drop from cornering or downhill/braking hard and they haven't got the tray fitted.

Oil filters don't really differ much inside - it's more a case of "does it fit"? And, clearly, that one did. But given that the engine didn't start life in that van, I'm not sure you can complain at 'em too hard.

Another vote here for low oil level - classic symptom, in any car. If the level's fine, then it's probably a wire loose and shorting out as it swings around.

ObG's theory's an interesting one, too - although gut feel says "But it's never done it on roundabouts before", it's not impossible. Is it the first time you've had the van in LHD-land? If so, then it could be that it's just something you're not seeing in the UK, due to the slosh-slosh-slosh of an enthusiastic roundabout being the other way round to normal.

It didn't happen last time I was in France. I'm getting the oil level from the dipstick which I think is a JX one but can't be sure. It has an orange handle. Now I'm worried it's not giving me a correct reading or I'm reading it wrong. I'm going by the 2 dots and it's right on the upper one..
Are the senors just above oil filters on aaz's?

The pressure can drop also due to having too much oil in which can cause frothing. Was the dipstick calibrated according to the amount of oil that was put in or was it just used willy nilly?
