Syncro WBX engine mounting bar
Im now in need of a engine mounting bar to support my Subaru engine using the Smallcar bracket. I got one off ebay but it turns out it was for an air cooled T25 and lift the engine
way too high. Syncroandy has just advised that he thinks that the syncro bar is different to a 2wd petrol as the engine sits lower in the syncro.
Can any body confirm this ? I have seen a 2wd WBX bar on ebay but no point buying if its not correct for a 4wd?
Anybody got one?? Its holding me up now, was hoping to be up and running this weekend.

Re: Syncro WBX engine mounting bar
You could use the 2wd engine mount with a 40 mm spacer each side between the chassis and engine bar untill you find a Syncro one

Me too.
The chances of me either putting a WBX in mine are slim to "no f#cking chance" and there's no way on earth I'm subaruining it either!

Pure is made from sunflower oil but maybe a bit thick for the pump. Maybe try Mazola?
PS the syncro wbx bar puts the engine 55mm lower IIRC

Re: Syncro WBX engine mounting bar
That's odd. Could have sworn that it's the same as the height of the syncro 2E3 spacer (55mm) unless the odd 2wd engine bar I have got is from an Aircooled and they are different again? I wouldn't know, don't want to know anything about lawnmowers.

Re: Syncro WBX engine mounting bar
I stand corrected! Maybe 55mm is the difference in the height of the end brackets, that's what I recall measuring. Nice use of carpenter's tools btw
