Westy water tank- help needed

Post by Pandion »

Been having a few problems with water tank and tap. First off the fuse went on the tap, I managed to locate and replace. I now have a leak somewhere. I filled up the water tank using the external filler and ended up with water in the small cupboard next to the fridge. I think I either have a hole or a connected/hose issue.

Anyway, I need some advice as I can't find, on the wiki or anywhere else, where and how to access the tank and how to check it. All advice gratefully received.

TA in advance

The bottom one?

Is it still getting wet with water sitting in the tank, or was it just when you filled it? It probably is just a knackered pipe 'twixt filler and tank.

Go in the bottom of (IIRC, the forward) "top-loader" cupboard, under the stowed table. There's a removable plate in the bottom. Underneath there's the top of the tank, with access to the wiring, pump, clean-out lid and plumbing.

Thanks for the I of re access. It seems to be when I filled. I have been checking and there's still water in the tank via the tap but there doesn't seem to be anymore leaking. I will check what's happening. If its the filler connection is it possible to replace that with a new hose or such?
