Fitting a 3point Buddy Seat into a Westy California ????

Post by Mr Soft »

With another nipper on the way I'm considering my options for fitting a rear facing buddy seat with 3point harness, in my Westy California (LHD), behind the passenger seat. I appreciate that this is going to prevent the passenger seat from being spun, but looking at options. I don't really want to modify the van to accomodate a 3 point belt on the cupboard side of the rear seat, nor do I want to start drilling the floor to mount a buddy seat, as the van is pretty OG.

Q1 - Is there a seat that will bolt in using 'bog box' bolt holes?
Q2 - Is there a 3 point buddy seat that is safe enough to transport a child, but can be folded up to give more space when not travelling?
Q3 - Is there a seat on the market that can be removed quickly?
Q4 - Any thing I may have missed?

Thanks,

Bob

I have two in my van, they were not cheap, i think about £120 each but they are very good quality and are absolutely solid with just a lap belt. Plus once they have out grown them i think i will be able to sell them on fle bay for people who need them for lap belts also and get some of the money back. I have a 10month old and a 3yr old in mine.
