Bumpers

Post by FLEAGOLF »

Hello all
I,ve recently brought a 1980 t25 westfalia. It has been retro fitted with later big bumpers and lower body kit all genuine vw. I'm going to remove all these and refit the original early steel bumpers. My question is are the bumper iorns the same?
Any help would be great.
Cheers Lee

the bumper hangers are different from big bumpers to steel bumpers , if you remove all the lower bodykit you will be left with a van full of small holes where the bodykit brackets have been which will then need welding up

Ok cheers for the info.
I,ve started welding up the holes that the kit has left and the bloody big hole that was hiding behind the kit near side sill fell on the floor with about 10lbs of filler. Regards to the body kit i will be selling it along with the big bumpers as one lot so i can put the money towards some metal bumpers any interset just let us know.
