Been away for the weekend approx 90 mile drive.
About 10 miles from arrival and on the drive home i noticed a noise coming from the rear of the van as follows,,
When you are accelerating no noise at all! When you take your foot of the accelerator for E.G going down hill (including out of gear) there is a vibrating type noise a bit like a wheel bearing noise coming from the rear possibly from the near side wheel, but if you apply the brake slightly or the accelerator it stops
Anyone have any ideas please?

Not sure this will be the problem though, there should be a split pin to stop it coming loose, and if the problem has just started??. worth checking though.
jack it up and have a feel for any play.

**Update**
Took the van to my boys at the garage today who said it was a wheel bearing starting to go
My dilemma is i was going to do a trip this weekend approx 200 return trip and they cant change the bearing until next week, do you knowledgeable people think it will be ok to use?
Cheers

Anyone?
the wheel won't come off but if the bearing collapses the bus will have to be recovered and when it goes it won't be nice to drive and potentially dangerous to you and yours and those on the road around you and if the bearing does break up you could end up needing a replacement half shaft and bearing housing too
that's worst case scenario obviously it could last for another 5000 miles for all anyone know but if it wouldn't pass mot in that state it should be deemed unfit for the road until it's repaired
You would be lucky to replace a rear wheel bearing in 20mins. Budget around 2 hours.
Ideally they should be pressed in and out, but if they are not to tight they can be drifted out.
