Post by HarryMann »

hows the flame look? yellow? bit bigger than normal? the burning wood smell would make me want to not use it. Pulling the unit out cleaning pilot and checking flue would be my first port of call

yes, but not on a Waeco and a Dometic never realy sure why it happened but it was a scorching day and it ran out of gas, new bottle would just not get it cold even though the flame was burning, wouldn't work on electricity either.

turned it upside down for a while and let it cool down ind it started working.

thats a thought does it work on electric?

Upside down and round and round...

Didn't quite fix it

but a good vacuum up its flue seemed to. We think dirt dust and maybe even straw had blocked the jet. Don't think they have a pilot jet as such seemed to idle but not get properly hot above flue

Thanks

:-) ok!

This is the allotment tea hut fridge, but a (rather pampered) cat lives above it.

Before returning it spanking clean we are making a few ahem 'suggestions' ;-)
