Try filling from the engine end to fill all the pipe then it might get pulled through

CAUTION ! Only tip the tiniest of thimble-full in each carb otherwise you'll be off to the nearest burns unit like one of our directors did

A good battery should turn the engine over sufficiently to pump the fuel through, that's IF you don't have an electric fuel pump.

Zubroka, please don't ask the same question twice. Once is enough, honest.

It's old school and quite nasty but you could try sucking the fuel through. REALLY not recommended (H&S) ... but I did it t'other day
I'm sure petrol used to taste better in the '70s.
Are we going on anything else?

They do say its OK with a dash of lemonade but I hate 'they' anyway - they're never to be found to justify their wild claims. :D

I recently broke down on a blind corner on a steep hill near bath...ran out of lpg....when switched to petrol notjing came to the carb until I hsd sucked the pipe and plugged it back into the carb. Ive sometimes wondered if the breather pipes are blocked or something whether it can create a vacuumnof sorts pulling petrol back into the tank? That was with a non return valve in the engine bay!
