2 lt CU engine probs - Petrol in oil
After winter lay up started up fairly well - warmed up 10 mins (no chokes) and ticked over Q-well (bit lumpy) Rev up - pops a bit on L/H exhaust outlet on shut down, noticed R/H exhaust outlet wet and smells of petrol (EMPI 2 TIP system). Took dip stick out and oil mark about 1 inch above full and smell of petrol. Took petrol pump off + took apart, looks OK as far as I can see. What might problem be ? (pump or carbs). Did notice R/hand carb manifold had condensation on it when running ?

Fuel pump diaphragm fail I would think.
AGG 2.0L 8V. (Golf GTi MkIII)
