I have a jackall I bought a good while ago from machine mart, I think they do still sell them...jackall or hilift are the best ones, available at most offroading type shops or on the interweb, you need a landrover adaptor to go with it to fit into the t25 jacking points...ebay has those.

Very good price  not the best make though ?

Hi-lift (made in USA)? or Jackall ( Canada )? are thought to be the best :ok

ok... thanks. will stick to High lift then. It was just the two year warranty that attracted me....normally a supplier that is prepared to g'tee his product for that long must have confidence in it.

cheers for the advice

Trouble is 'high lift' is a generic term, like Hoover, I have a 'high lift' jack made by 'Jackall'

It won't be a genuine 'High lift' unless it's marked as such, just an inferior copy

Hope that makes sense ????

Jackall and hi lift are the original decent brands...not much of anything between those two...any other brands are likely to be cheap for a reason...also consider spare parts in the future..

Also they are actually quite dangerous in use...the chances of the vehicle shifting with the jack, or the jack being shot out at an angle are quite high and care must be exercised...last resort use only and if changing wheels assume as soon as the wheel is removed the whole lot is going fall down!
