New kyham motordome classic - help needed please

Post by huggy76 »

Hi all

I've just bought a new motordome classic awning and have got a few questions about it.

Firstly we have only put it up in the garden so far and not on the van but want to use it next weekend.

Our van is a leisuredrive pop top T25.

Whilst it seems very easy to put up, how do most people attach them to the van i.e. rail or figure of 8 stuff??

And has anybody got any tips on putting away, mine now looks like a giant chicken drumstick in a bag.

Lastly, do all the bags around the joints and central hub stay on permanently.

Thanks for reading all this.

Huggy

I use the figure of 8 poles...it's my personal prefrence.
Be extra careful not to open the sliding door onto the fabric that attaches to the van, you'll tear it.
Yes the little bags stay on, they protect the awning fabric from getting trapped in the joint.
And I tend to wrap mine up with a bungi cord, it does rather look like a chicken drumstick, ha ha...I always thouhht putting it away was like wrestling a dead gazelle with too many limbs!
