Westie joker question. pictures added!
Did Westfalia offer a side hinged roof option on the club joker?
i only ask as i have been offered a rhd " club joker?" with a side hinged roof, it is very tidy and at the right money but the alarm bells are ringing in my head over the rhd and side hinged roof.
Any help will be appreciated, i have no reason to buy it other than it is nice and tidy and i like the look of club jokers.

And rightly so.
...i like the look of club jokers.
Apart from the stickers, I'm not sure what there is to the "look"?

Re: Westie joker question.
If its right hand drive, there was a limited mozaik interior westfalia sold to the uk arket to fit a RHD van. Otherwise all interiors are for LHD. Are you sure it's not a bilbo or reimo or EMC? These all made similar looking interiors for right hookers

If it is a Mozaik, then it could be _anybody's_ roof with it - Mozaik was Westfalia-meets-Ikea flat-pack DIY.
Piccies!

Re: Westie joker question.
I Went to see it again last night, but i could not take pictures as the owner was not there.
The mechanic who has put me on to it ( the garage is opposite where i park my truck) assures me he has seen paperwork stating it is a joker.
It does have a right hand drive Westy interior but it defo does not have a Westy roof.
Just a side note - it is a full side hinged roof it looks like a westy roof from the side but defo is not a Westy roof. the interior fitting of the roof looks very factory standard and tidy- grey lining up to tidy trimmed hatch etc. the hatch is roughly in the middle and is about 4ft square. It is not a Devon roof i dont think although it is very similar with small one inch- ish ridges on top space out every so often which makes it look like a Westy roof from a distance.
Can't find one to copy and paste to here but will try and get some pictures before i commit!
Where is the M plate on these?

Re: Westie joker question.
It's not a joker - someone in this chain is though. They are Lhd, and the roof is wrong. End of the day though if you like it and its good buy it I guess but if they have lied about stuff I'd always question why and what else isn't as it seems

Re: Westie joker question.
The Mosaik kits were marketed as Jokers, and apparently some of them were installed into RHD vans so it may be that the owner has some cause for believing it to be genuine:
http://www.westfaliat3.info/html/westfa ... stall.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The problem I think is with who did the installation - if it was a UK dealer who put it together from a Mosaik kit with a non-standard pop-top then it might be a reasonable job, but it could easily be a homebrew install using the interior stripped from another van. If you are thinking of buying take care to look over everything, and price accordingly. Check the buying guide on the wiki here (link top left of screen) and the Westfalia buying guide at:

Re: Westie joker question.
M-Plate can apparently be found under the passenger seat - not sure exactly where as I have no idea it is on our van. A guide to the codes can be found here:

Not sure tbh it is only the mechanics words so far, i am reluctant to take photos as the owner has not contacted me and i would be fuming if someone took pics of my van and stuck them on a forum asking questions without my permission, so they will have to wait.
He says the owner will accept £4500 but i have a feeling he will come down as the mechanic says he owes him a few bob and seems skint ( i can't confirm any of this until the owner contacts me btw) i like the conversion even if it is a oddball it seems very well done and the 1600 diesel is very tight i started it up last night with the mechs permission.
M plate under the passenger seat then - anyone know the westy code? it's p33 for a bay!
