subaru questions

just got back from zambia to find that myrtles messing me around again, not sure how much more i can take from the 1.9 dg to be honest.
in terms of changing to a subabru engine, do any of the flat 4 engines have less wiring (no ecu, but coil and distributor instead?)
are there any subaru engines that are easier than most (in terms of wring/electrics)?

Yeah, but the early 1800 is as bad/worse than a DG...
Or just fit a new VW exchange engine... about 1300 ish...
Or just do the 2.2.... best all round... there are enough on here to help advise on the wiring...
