HI THERE EVERYONE FIRST TIME POSTING ON HERE JUST BECOME A MEMBER AND ALREADY AM ASKING FOR SOME HELP!! HAS ANYONE PUT A VLKING ROOF ON?? I HAVE BOUGHT ONE DIDNT SEE IT BEING TAKEN OF BUT I THINK ITS ALL THERE JUST AINT SEEN ONE BEIN PUT UP AND FOLDED OUT IF ANYONE HAS ANY PICS WOULD MUCH APPRECIATE IT ATTEMPTING TO DO IT AFTER XMAS MY ROOF AT THE MIN IS A POP TOP WITH THE SOLID SIDES AND WEN I GET THE VIKING ON ANYONE WHO COULD DO WITH THIS ROOF IS MORE THAN WELCOME TO IT DOESNT LEAK NOW DONE A QUICK REPAIR BUT ITS NOT PERFECT BY ANY MEANS CHEERS :lol: :lol: :lol:

cool!!! there have been a few of us who have done tin top to pop top this year, but i don't think anyone has done a viking! though i do remember something mentioned so i may be wrong. matt has photos of when we did his! i was too lazy/pissed to take photos when i did mine(boxing day) name your date and i'll pop down and give you a hand. in the mean time i'll have a scout about and see if i can find photos!! welcome to the club

These are the aforementioned snaps - tin top to pop top, not pop top to viking alas..........

Someone asked about this a while back - but I haven't a clue who, or if they've even done it yet, sorry........... :shock:

there they are, i'd forgotton how we'd measured wrong and cut the hole too small!! Image

also forgot to say that the viking roof is very similar to the devon!!

That's cool Rob - glad to help.......like Dave says, it's easier for you to copy the photo's off the web rather than us e-mail them to you. Best of luck with the roof - the starting off is scary, and the finishing off takes waay longer than you'd expect - they're also much heavier than you'd imagine, especially when you're holding it above your head........... :D
