Hi all,
This is my first post on the forum. I Joined last year and brought my first van about a month ago. Since then I've uncovered the usual list of broken, rusty and leaky things that I didn't notice on viewing , including a tap (little black and silver fold down comet thing) which is causing me woe. It seems the only replacements available now are twice the size (Comet London) and don't fit in the corner where the hole is.
Has anyone else had a similar problem and found a suitable replacement?
Thanks in advance

Re: AutoSleeper Comet tap replacement
Mine fell to bits years ago
I made my own, and gave up my futile searching.
I used some plastic standard plumbing fittings.
The tap no longer turns off at the tap
I have to turn off the pump.
However I have discovered some remarkable equipment that I am currently developing.
There's a pump controller I have found which "senses" the tap is off and automatically turns of the pump with out the need for switches.

Re: AutoSleeper Comet tap replacement
Hi,
You could try the various caravan/campervan breakers that are around. Often caravan accessory shops can supply something that will fit. Depends what is wrong with the tap, I managed to repair mine about 10 years ago and it is still in use.
I am not too far from you and we have similar vehicles so if I can help give me a call
Don

Thanks Don, appreciate the offer.
I filled the hole that the micro switch would have gone into with clear sealant and it seemed to work for a few minutes however water pump still keeps trying to push water through even though the tap is off. Time for a new water pump as well maybe.
