japanese vw hubcaps

Post by variety »

I,ve got a set of vw hubcaps from the local tip for my T25, when I looked at them over the weekend I've realised they are made in japan and the vw logo isn't correct.Anyone come across these before? The quality is the same as german ones, is it something to do with copyright??

That's a first then, the standard repro ones are crap which is why I chose to use Passat wheel trims instead.

I was thinking they might be off one of those little Japanese splitties. But I think they might not fit the wheels on one of them.

man at the tip stopped someone from chucking them in a skip, saw my van and pointed me to where he stacked them next to skip. he refused a cash and said a box of tea bags would be more than welcome! So, four nearly new hubcaps for 240 teabags (Yorkshire Tea of course). Then I noticed they weren't quite right....

What a deal, you didn't even have to give him a decent brand of teabags.
Win-win! :ok
