saw a caravelle at vanfest last year 05 with an renault alpine v6 turbo motor in it using the renault box as well. the drive shafts mated up using the renault/ ford adaptors used on gt40 kit cars as the ford cv is the same as vw. there is a french web site showing how to fit a renault box to a vw deisel and showing how to flip to the diff, including gearbox mount and gear linkage, i have thought of fitting a renault deisel and box myself, let me know how you get on, will try to find the web address and post on here

try these for info on un1 box. http://www.t3nettet.dk/viewtopic.php?t=661 and http://home.arcor.de/stefani-m/bilder/unigetriebe.pdf both these site give info and photos but need translating. good luck
