Any good make but on seams unless you can get to the rear side, it will always come back. Its a weakness with these vehicles. I found Vactan stopped it on mine but you do need good penetration for it to work. I blew it in with an airline in places after thoroughly raking out everything. Some areas are really difficult to get at behind though.

I`ve filled my seams after vactan. But got a hair line crack in some seems since, so I`ve found out two months later. So gona do it again this time using tigerseal soon. Theyre just water traps.

Dont bother with loctite rust cure. I used loads of them little bottles 3 year ago. They are c***. Wilkos did it. So I suppose what do you expect.

Re: Which rust cure would you recomend?
I do this:
1) clean off rust as much as possible
2) spray with Dinatrol 900
if underside
3) spray with Dinitrol wax
4) spray with Dintrol underseal
If on the body
3) spray with primer
4 spray with rustoleum
I live at the coast so I tend to go a bit over the top. I have tried allsorts including vactan and find this works best for me. I have to do my seams again as I didn't klnow this when I did them last time. I will sandblast the seams instead of 1) this time and heat the seams with a hot airgun to try to drive any moisture out before 2)
Hope this helps

Dremel clone £20ish and a pack of 10 dremel wire brushes £10 ish got to get right in the seam and nothing other than sandblasting will come close to a dremel.
Then vactan
Then vactan

Some of the seams maybe rusting inside out
Panels with cut windows that leak or wheelarches are common for this and most dokas probably leak through the bed so need to tackle these from both sides

Thanks for taking the time in sharing your experiences... It is a real pain in the butt when you put in all the hard work and the product you are using doesn't do what it says on the tin!

With the rare exception, they generally work ok. The difficulty in this instance is one of access. You only need to miss some of it (ie festering away deep in the wound) to see problems surface again. Untreated steel will always try to oxidise and its very difficult to stop once it starts. One tiny bit missed and it spreads. The T25 is known for this problem on seams and other than replacing with new metal and protecting it before rust takes a hold, you'll have a real hard job stopping it. You can win, but you have to be as persistent as the rust.
